Young Artists Foundation
Young Artists Foundation (YAF) trains pre-college string, piano, and woodwind students in Chamber Music at conservatory standards. By organizing students into local ensembles across the South Bay, Peninsula, and San Francisco throughout the year, YAF provides greater access to exemplary music education and performances to more bay area communities.

Why Chamber Music?
Chamber music represents individual commitment, preparation, and agency for team success, and is our core at YAF.
With one to a part, every chamber musician is a soloist, ensemble player, and conductor, revealing a dimension of musical understanding inaccessible by orchestral playing or private lessons.
At YAF, faculty hold students to the same standards they do themselves by preparing them to perform complete masterworks of iconic chamber repertoire. Through direct, curated feedback and mentorship, students are taught fundamentals that apply universally to themselves and professionals, by playing, and often performing, alongside faculty.
We believe in such an investment to foster each student's results and habits of earned excellence that will continue to serve them long after they move on from YAF.
