Masterclasses at YAF

Masterclasses provide training for students by world-class performing artists, while offering local audiences insights and details behind an artist's preparation. By bringing distinguished musicians and educators both in and outside the region, YAF offers students and audience a diversity of experiences and perspectives of music making on the world's stages. YAF is honored to host guest artists including international competition prizewinners, conservatory professors, and major symphony orchestra members, to share their insights and knowledge with our communities.

Each year, YAF students with demonstrated preparation are eligible to participate in the YAF Masterclass Series​.

Past Masterclass artists have included violinist Nancy Zhou, violinist Eric Silberger, and cellist Karhi Joyner.
