Preparing for the Stage
Performing live on stage is presents its own challenges simply invisible to playing alone in a practice room. Successful performances are often tested and refined first in front of limited audiences, revealing a class of refinements only visible under pressure. By hosting Performance Seminars, YAF offers all students simulated stage opportunities.
Students, especially those preparing for competitions and auditions, perform any work of their choice to test their practice, in front of the most challenging audience of all: faculty and their peers. Each Performance Class is run by faculty to provide direct feedback to build each student's experience in
