Showcasing Individual Excellence

The stage is the culmination and ultimate test of a performing artist’s preparation. By the time a major artist appears in a high-profile engagement, the work has been shaped through numerous prior performances. Beginning in focused, formative settings, each performance serves as an essential step in a deliberate artistic progression. YAF Solo Recitals offer students those critical experiences within supportive yet professional environments, while also inviting local audiences to engage with the next generation of classical musicians. Students perform across a range of venues, from studio salons to established recital halls, in settings thoughtfully aligned with their stages of artistic development.

Recitals take place in venues near San Francisco, San Mateo, Mountain View, and San Jose. All YAF students are guaranteed a place to perform in at least one Solo Recital each season, and are highly encouraged to participate in multiple.
